Effective: June 15, 2026 · Last updated: June 15, 2026
Welcome to Pill Identifier: AI Pill ID(the “App”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App on iOS and Android. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Medical disclaimer (important)
The App is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Identification results, medication information, side-effect summaries, drug-interaction reports, and chat responses are generated by an artificial-intelligence model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always confirm with a qualified pharmacist or your prescribing physician before taking, stopping, or changing any medication.
In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the United States) or visit the nearest emergency room. Do not rely on the App to make emergency decisions.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:

- Submit content that is illegal, infringing, or violates the rights of others
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to interact with the App
5. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
The App may offer auto-renewing subscriptions and/or one-time purchases. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to that store’s terms.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. We are unable to issue refunds directly.
- Free trials: any free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before it ends.
6. AI-generated content
The App uses Google’s Gemini model and similar large-language-model technology to generate responses. These responses are probabilistic and may produce errors, omissions, or “hallucinations.” You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it, particularly for medical purposes.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its code, design, branding, copy, and outputs, is owned by AI Pill ID and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of any image you capture; you grant us a limited license to process that image transiently in order to return an identification, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services including Google Cloud (Gemini), Firebase App Check, RevenueCat, and the Apple App Store / Google Play. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that identifications or medical information will be correct, complete, or suitable for any decision you make.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$50.

You agree to indemnify and hold AI Pill IDharmless from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
